RECOGNISING SAFETY & HYGIENE EXCELLENCE
Established in 1994, the HAPA Group was known to produce quality hospitality, F&B and travel publications for industry owners and operators, corporates and travelers. Over the course of their 26-year journey in hospitality, the HAPA Group have expanded their business portfolio under 5 brands - namely Hospitality Asia (Publishing), HAPA Awards (Awards & Audit), MAD (Bespoke Events), HAPA Academy (Training & Coaching) and No Address Society (Dining & Networking) - all of which have since been rebranded under HAPA.
With the combined multi-level experience in publishing, awards, audit, bespoke events as well as training and coaching, the team at HAPA is well-equipped with the expertise to assure excellence, commitment and efficiency in everything they do - all with the aim to bring to greater heights the quality and delivery standards of hospitality overall.
The HAPA Awards, also known as the "Oscars of Hospitality", was created in 2002 with the main purpose of recognizing and rewarding outstanding establishments and individuals who have shown commitment, drive and passion for excellence in hospitality. HAPA now extends beyond mere service excellence. Today, the concept of hospitality par excellence must encompass the elements of being safe and well protected.
With this in mind, and in keeping with being an industry leader in Service Excellence recognition for the last two decades, HAPA now presents you HAPA CARES - a recognition bestowed upon outstanding hospitality, F&B and tourism establishments which have implemented mandatory and stringent standard operating procedures to assure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
This programme is endorsed by the Malaysian F&B Executives Association, the Malaysian F&B Executives Association Culinary Division, the Penang Chefs Association of Malaysia, Professional Culinaire Association of Malaysia, International F&B Association and the Food and Beverage Management Association of Singapore.
Recognised establishments have shown commitment towards guests and employees’ health, safety and comfort through strict implementation of sustainable and effective practices by well-trained cleaning and housekeeping staff. Recognition is also given to establishments who have introduced contactless procedures throughout their customer journey in an effort to minimise contact with people and surfaces. In short, a culture of Safety and Hygiene Excellence.
Apart from the establishment recognition programme, HAPA CARES will also present products, services and solutions which are holistic yet practical and which will conform to the new norm in safety and hygiene standards. Our purpose is to give assurance and peace of mind to hospitality, F&B and tourism establishments by introducing products, services and solutions that are recognised for promoting a safe environment which protects employees and customers alike and by extension the businesses per se.
A greater emphasis on hygiene, care and safety is going to be a way of life, and HAPA CARES will be at the forefront in advocating this on behalf of the hospitality industry and to encourage, facilitate and recognise hospitality establishments that embrace this new culture in an effort to restore and enhance confidence in hospitality and tourism.
